Hi guys and gals! Now I have been asked time and time again about posing and styling models and clients for portraits and the answer is not a simple one. Every photographer has their own individual style and how they like to capture people is their own touch on things too, so this is just my opinion. I like my  portraits to be fun, light hearted and interesting! You want your family, friends and  to look back at your portrait and know exactly who you are/were. You portraits must say something about you, your personality, your spirit. Some people are more serious, reserved and collected and they rightfully deserve a portrait just like that, while others who are more outgoing shouldn’t be caged in the same box. I can always tell when someone is pushed to try new things that initially they want to kill me and are thinking “This photographer is nuts”… but the feeling and look on their faces as they laugh uncontrollably when receiving their pics is priceless.

Its the stuff memories are made of…

Learning to let go a little bit in a photograph will remind people that you are willing to take risks, you don’t take yourself tooooo seriously and that you’re a blast to be around! I would recommend taking a few fun pics during your next photo shoot to keep the experience fun and exciting )
