Hello everyone!
I’m Taetim De Villiers and you have just had a squiz at what makes my knees weak and heart melt… Photography, Blogging and creative crafts of all different shapes and sizes!
I LOVE being a part of special moments and most of all being able to document it! I have done my BTech degree in Photography at DUT(Durban University of Technology) and am currently doing what makes me tick: working as a photographer , blogger and crafter. Being able to share my secrets and spread my love for photography and more has been an amazing experience and I absolutely ADORE what I do every day!
I love coffee, snorting podgy pugs, sunset silhouettes, meeting my mates at the pub for a quick drink to catch up, hearts, cooking, laughing, crazy people, kiddies, singing in the car and my good old faithful pair of worn out jeans! I could eat popcorn for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a side serving of super sugary tea! (but I don’t because… well… If you’re old enough to read this you should know its not really the healthiest choice!). I love old and antique furniture and pretty much anything with character and a tale to tell… so you can just imagine what my home looks like! Rustic, sentimental and I like to think it’s “homely”. I’m a little corny and can’t help laughing at my own jokes. I very seldom find myself in front of the camera. I am a Sharks supporter for life. I love my family more than anything in the world. I enjoy sewing, painting(although I’m no Picasso by any means), beading and collecting weather-beaten frames and reading another one of Jodi Picoults fabulously written gems! I have a small obsession for handmade things and thats probably why I feel the need to add a little bit of me in every shoot that I do, whether its a ribbon, bow or handmade trinket to every project I take on!
Local is lekker. I love all things local… being proudly South African gives me the right to get to excited about local produce, designers, artists, musicians and talent and hopefully more people jump on the local-bandwagon too!
Photographing families, couples and babies means that I HAVE THE BEST JOB IN THE WORLD and I wouldn’t trade it for all the diamonds in the sky.
I hope that by reading this that you feel like you have taken a little look into my life and will invite me to take a look into yours!
Love,
Tae.
