My boyfriends brother got married in December to Natalie and I took a few snaps at the kitchen tea…

A lovely day  filled with ladies, cake, punch and cupcakes…. can you say yum?

Kathryn and Giles came all the way from the UK for their bush wedding at Zulu Nyala a little while ago, and what a treat it was! Between the beautiful sunset, the amazing views and breathtaking wildlife surrounding the couple and their guests, who could have wished for anything else? Friends and family gathered from all corners of the world to celebrate with this lovely couple as they tied the knot. I love shooting at Zulu Nyala… And I FINALLY got to see the famous “tame giraffe” that roams around the reception venue eating all the flower arrangements and teasing guests… Apparently he’s real Dennis the Menace, finding trouble wherever he goes…. CUTE! K&G wanted simple, no frills no fuss photographs and although I tried my luck to keep them out on the creative shoot for a small conceptual photo session they were just itching to run back to the guests and get right into partying with friends. They really are the life of the party and boy-o-boy do they know how to have fun! They got everyone off their seats by the end of the night and the guests danced till they couldn’t feel their feet! I’m positive that Kathryn and Giles will have a happy future together with tons of support and love from close friends and family by their side… there is something so magical about a close-knit group of family and friends…

(This was a particularly large blog entry so I have to upload it in two parts—>this is part one and part two will follow in a few days so keep an eye out for the next batch!)

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO COMMENT :) And if others would like to check out the wedding pics tell them to go to http://www.taetim.com

Michelle and Chris got married at Under the Marula, and what a magnificent day it turned out to be!

The bride and groom were so calm and collected, it was so delightful to see two people at complete peace with their future together. While the bride was getting ready someone mentioned to the bride that she seems far more relaxed than usual and her response was..”I think if I had any doubt about who I’m about to marry, then I would be nervous, but I don’t, so I’m not.”  ….Let me tell you I needed a moment after that to gather myself because it was so sincere and heartfelt I almost burst into tears and hugged her! Michelle and Chris have been together for something historic like 7 years and are still head over heels in love!

Most weddings I do, the bride is stressing about her dress or about their families arriving on time…and this tends to disturb the party…. But Michelle was laughing and sitting back while people fluffed around her and it set the mood for the entire day. The bride and groom are such happy, funny and light-hearted people that it was no surprise to me when the crowds flocked in by the dozen and the atmosphere was filled with joy and celebration from start to finish! Thank you for choosing me to take part in your special day!

I had the honour of documenting one of the most amazing moments about a month ago or so… Graeme called me up and booked a shoot for his and Danielle’s 2 year anniversary and of course agreed! But the secret was that he planned on proposing to Dan on the shoot! eeeeeeeek! so much excitement! I must admit I was a little nervous because its a “moment thing” and you have to capture every little bit of it and not miss a thing!

We had to keep it very hush-hush and came up with a game plan for the shoot. I had to keep the ring with me because she would notice the big box in his pocket! The wind was blowing wilder than a Jerseylicious hair-do and we had to make it work!
